WILLEMSTAD - Justice Minister Shalten Hato is in Suriname this week. The minister attends the High Level Security Conference.
The conference is part of joint plans to fight cross-border fraud and corruption. Subversive crime poses a serious problem for the security and economy of the country, the ministry said in a press release. The conference is held at ministerial level.
The head of the Curaçao Security Service and the head of the Curaçao Police Corps traveled with the minister to Suriname. The delegation returns on Sunday.
