Minister Kingdom Relations refuses to disclose information about Venezuelan migrant problems

Local | By Correspondent December 30, 2021

THE HAGUE - The Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations in the Netherlands refuses to make some of the documents about migration and protection of Venezuelans in Curaçao public.

Amnesty International had requested this by invoking the Government Information (Public Access) Act. According to The Hague, the documents contain information that, if disclosed, could damage the relations of the Netherlands with Curaçao.

The documents also contain information about the safety of reception locations. Disclosure of this may involve security risks. 67 other documents have been made public in whole or in part.
