WILLEMSTAD - During his visit to Curaçao, Minister Raymond Knops participated in a round table discussion with the partners in the law enforcement chain (Coast Guard, Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, Detectives’ Cooperation Team and the Public Prosecution). Here the importance of cooperation was emphasized in order to achieve optimum results.
A collaboration that should not only take shape in the Caribbean, but also between the stakeholders involved in the Netherlands. During the visit to the Criminal Investigation Team, Minister Knops says he spoke with the new team leader about his first experiences in the Caribbean. Among other things, special attention was paid to cross-border crime between the islands and the interdependence of criminal networks in the European Netherlands and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom.
