WILLEMSTAD - Minister of Education, Sithree van Heydoorn, must supervise the University of Curaçao more closely. That is the conclusion of the Court of Audit, which investigated the financial contribution that the ministry makes to the University.
The minister and his predecessors did not sufficiently check whether the University complied with the rules when providing the financial contribution. The university also did not provide that information to the ministry.
As a result, it is not clear whether the funds were spent properly and as agreed.
