Minister of Finance asks CFT for advice

Local | By Correspondent June 14, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - Minister of Finance, Javier Silvania, has knocked on the door of the Financial Supervisory Committee (CFT). The minister wants to know whether there is enough money in the budget for the one-off payment of 3 percent wage compensation to civil servants and the like. The advisory body must also consider the 6 percent subsidy increase to subsidized institutions. Together, these measures cost the government 20 million guilders.

Silvania states that these relaxations fall within the phasing out of the 12.5 percent cut on employment conditions. The CFT must then issue advice that must be approved in the Kingdom Council of Ministers in The Hague.
