WILLEMSTAD - 2022 will be the year of cleaning on Curaçao. Minister of Health, Environment and Nature (GMN) Dorothy Pietersz-Janga announced this in a press conference on Thursday.
During the press conference, Pietersz-Janga indicated that the Ministry of GMN will pay a lot of attention this year to cleaning Curaçao, but also to prevention and awareness. The minister also emphasized personal responsibility.
The ministry wants to launch various information campaigns and believes that children should learn at school that the waste does not belong on the ground. The intention is that Curaçao becomes aware of the need to keep the island clean.
The plan is not only for this year, the ministry also wants to invest in a clean environment in the coming years. Curaçao should thus become more livable.
