WILLEMSTAD - Minister of Public Health and Environment Pietersz-Janga was in the Bahamas last week. There she attended a conference on water and wastewater. The theme was 'From Global Resolution to Regional Solutions: 'Let's End Plastic Pollution!'.
The participating countries discussed the options for banning single-use plastics. The minister also explored with Aruba, Sint Eustatius and Sint Maarten the possibilities of establishing a knowledge center for waste processing within the region. The subject is interesting for Curaçao. The ministry of Public Health is preparing for a new policy for single-use plastic.
