WILLEMSTAD - Minister Zita Jesus Leito of Traffic, Transport and Urban Planning (VVRP) wants better spending of public transport subsidies. Especially since the 400 drivers of the small vans ignore not so popular routes.
Now the government is investing nine million guilders in ABC Bus Company to keep the rates low, but users still can't get anywhere at any hour. In total, Public Transport receives 16 million guilders.
Another 7 million subsidy goes to school transport.
