WILLEMSTAD – Police have arrested a minor in connection with a shooting incident that took place last week near a school along the Gouverneur van Landsbergweg. The arrest was confirmed by the Police Corps Curaçao.
The incident occurred near secondary school MIL, where shots were fired from a passing vehicle. The shooting caused alarm among students, staff, and nearby residents, but no one was injured.
According to police, a 16-year-old boy reported to the Criminal Investigation Department on Tuesday accompanied by his legal guardians. Following questioning, authorities decided to detain the suspect while the investigation continues.
Police state that the arrest forms part of an ongoing investigation into the shooting. No further details have been released at this stage as inquiries are still underway.
