WILLEMSTAD - The monthly costs for a private checking account at the Maduro & Curiel’s Bank (MCB) are a lot higher starting this month. Previously this amounted to 3.71 guilders per month, this amount has now been increased to 5.30.
The management of the bank has informed that the increase is related to investments in digitization and compliance. The costs for non-residents who still want to keep a Curaçao account have even doubled from 7.50 guilders to 15 guilders per month.
The costs for the business accounts also rise from 5.30 guilders per month to 7.95.
