WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Monument Fund Foundation is finally going to renovate the monumental building in which the organization is housed. This is possible because the monument at 51 Scharlooweg has finally become their property.
A thorough restoration is necessary to set a good example for private individuals to carry out maintenance on their own houses on the monument list. The Monument Fund also provides a subsidy for this.
The first phase of the restoration of the own building costs 250,000 guilders.
