WILLEMSTAD - As a result of a fight last week between two inmates in court, additional security is likely to come. Two prisoners started to fight and even punched each other right in front of the judge. The two are suspected of involvement in the same case. But when one of them wanted to change his statement, things got out of hand. Prosecutor Guillano Schoop said that it is necessary to look carefully at how such incidents can be prevented.
As is known, the court has been relocated in the old KPMG building. The layout is different from the regular court, which is currently undergoing extensive renovation. It is remarkable that the two arguing prisoners share the same lawyer.
