More "cash customers" than "swipe customers" at Kranshi, but paying cash is no longer possible

Local | By Correspondent June 4, 2019

WILLEMSTAD - More than half of all Kranshi (Registrar Office) customers currently pay cash, but are no longer allowed to do so starting yesterday. The Registrar Office abandons cash payments and forces people to pay with their bank card.

If someone does not have a bank card, the amount can also be transferred via the bank. According to interim director Ruthline Haddocks, a transition time of two weeks is used.

Should people really not be able to pay through the bank, a solution will be sought in consultation with the customer, says the interim director. The driving license office has been working in this way for five years and that works well according to Haddocks.
