WILLEMSTAD - The government added three sectors to the NOW list for April. Companies in these new sectors have until Thursday to apply for the first round of the government wage subsidy.
Gas stations, advertising agencies and print shops for advertisements and media that depend on advertisements can still register. That was announced by Giselle Mc William of Economic Development (MEO). The addition of the sectors to the list of the Emergency Measure Bridging Employment (NOW) was possible after an evaluation of the first application period that expired at 22:00 on Wednesday evening. Mc William: "We analyzed how much money was left and, based on figures and expert advice, decided which sectors we could add to qualify for this first round."
This concerns a contribution towards salary costs of up to 80 percent to business owners with turnover losses of at least 25 percent in April. Like the other companies, companies from the three additional sectors are given five days to submit an application via www.fondodisosten.org, which is until Thursday 30 April at 6 pm.
