WILLEMSTAD - Flow and UTS already offer extended maternity leave as Curaçao's first companies to do this. 16 weeks for mothers and 8 weeks for fathers.
The latter in particular is unprecedented. In Curaçao, fathers generally only receive 5 days of maternity leave.
The new policy is standard for parent company Liberty Latin America, which wants to invest in new employees for the future.
