WILLEMSTAD - Aqualectra expects a shortage of electricity this week. Four generators are currently under maintenance and there is not enough wind.
Due to the heat, more electricity is currently being used during the day. That means that the utility company will have to take measures by switching off power in some areas during certain hours of the day.
It is possible that the BOO plant on the refinery site can produce extra electricity, but that is not certain yet.
