WILLEMSTAD - Research bureau Linkels & Partners has commissioned a survey, in which more than 1300 Curaçao residents have indicated which political structure they prefer.
It was also striking that many people would like to see Curaçao become a special municipality in the Netherlands, comparable to the BES islands (Bonaire, St. Eustatius, and Saba).
In contrast, the autonomous island status within the Kingdom is much less popular than in the 2005 referendum.
