WILLEMSTAD - In Saliña, 236 kilos of waste were collected on Sunday during a cleaning campaign. The Kunukuman and his team collected a large amount of garbage in the vicinity of the KFC, MC Donald's and Yellow House.
In two hours, 131 kilos of litter were collected. An additional 105 kilos of glass were added, mainly from empty beer bottles. According to the Kunukuman, it cannot continue like this. “Clean up your mess properly,” he wrote in a Facebook post.
A week earlier, the group of volunteers cleaned the Caracasbaaiweg near villa park Zuurzak. Garbage was also collected on part of the road towards Montaña. On Sunday, 106 kilos of glass and 98 kilos of residual waste, including plastic packaging, facemasks, and foam bins, were collected.
