WILLEMSTAD - At the kaya Ma Pieternelle in Sint Michiel, a motorcycle accident took place on Sunday evening around 8 p.m. The man was the 35-year-old Dayly David Joaquin Balentina.
According to the witness, the man was driving on the road when a loud noise was heard. The witnesses saw smoke. The motorcyclist probably lost control of the steering wheel on a curve and as a result, he hit an oncoming car and a streetlight.
When the ambulance arrived, the man was already dead. He mainly had head injuries. Dayly David Joaquin Balentina was a young firefighter.
Police say this is the eighth fatality in a traffic accident this year. There were three fatal traffic accidents in November.
