WILLEMSTAD - Based on the evaluation of the process of taking the naturalization test in 2022, it has been decided, for both organizational and technical reasons, that the naturalization test will only be taken once in 2023, in August/September 2023, in contrast to 2022.
Based on the evaluation of the administration process of the naturalization test for 2021 and 2022, it is concluded that the digital test is administered via the test software program satisfactorily. However, the registration via the Expertise Center for Tests and Exams (ETE) portal still has some shortcomings. The technical limitations of the portal are the main bottleneck preventing the ETE from providing the expected service to the customer. In addition, the understaffing at the ETE means that the staff is overloaded and cannot optimally fulfill all services.
After the decrease in 2023, the ETE will evaluate the situation again to determine how the process will take place in the following year.
