Neighborhood centers open for food cards

WILLEMSTAD - The distribution of food cards has been resumed. The Ministry of Social Development, Labor and Welfare (SOAW) is again handing out the cards to citizens who have applied and are included in the Covid aid program. This is reported by the Ministry of SOAW. 1166 People are eligible for a card.

The cardss are distributed through various community centers. People who receive social assistance and have an e-card from the Red Cross have been able to go to the SOAW counters since yesterday. 9,500 cards have now been distributed by mail. People who were not at home, who have given a wrong address or who have moved must pick up their cards at one of these neighborhood centers.

They will be informed of this via WhatsApp. The community center of Punda on the Prinsenstraat, in Brievengat on the Kaya John Monsanto, on St Maria on the Jan Noorduynweg and in Otrobanda on the Breedestraat are open for collecting the food cards.

 

The distribution is in alphabetical order and the community centers are open from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
