WILLEMSTAD - The new auction of open-air brothel Campo Alegre will take place on September 6 at the Renaissance Hotel. Two days before, 4 and 5 September, are viewing days in Campo. That has now been determined. Anyone who is seriously interested must register in advance with BVA Auctions or Notariskantoor Simon en Steenbaar, who are responsible for the auction.
Interested parties must present their ID, fill out forms and provide a bank guarantee of five million. Campo's first auction, last month, would have been canceled because no one came up with that bank guarantee. Bid on September 6 must be on site in the Renaissance room. Bidding by telephone, in writing or by e-mail is not possible. Campo is being auctioned because the previous owners have been convicted of drug trafficking and have to pay back about 14 million guilders.
