WILLEMSTAD – On Friday, December 12, 2025, the newly appointed board of the Curaçao Bar Association paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Curaçao, His Excellency Mauritsz de Kort.
The delegation consisted of Mr. Roald Tromp (Dean), Mr. Adir Ayubi (Vice-Dean), Ms. Rahil Moeniralam (Secretary), and Ms. Carine Jänsch (Former Dean). The visit took place in the context of the recent change in the association’s leadership.
During the meeting, the board informed the Governor about its key priorities for the coming term. Particular attention was given to the implementation of the new National Ordinance on the Legal Profession (Advocatenlandsverordening), which introduces important reforms to the legal framework governing the profession in Curaçao.
The meeting underscored the importance of constructive dialogue between the Bar Association and the Governor’s office, especially at a time of regulatory change within the legal sector.
