WILLEMSTAD - The new Code of Criminal Procedure (WvSv) intended for the countries of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten and the area of the public bodies Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba (BES), has recently - after six years - been 'renewed' and offered to the Parliament of Curaçao.
The WvSV states how criminal offenses are prosecuted (for example, arrest, prosecuted and imprisoned) while the Criminal Code (WvSr) states what criminal offenses are and what you cannot do (for example, stealing).
