WILLEMSTAD - A new construction project is expected to start in Otrobanda in January. Various shops and restaurants will be built adjacent to the plaza in Otrabanda, Willemstad. “We are still waiting for the final building permits,” says the representative of the investors.
According to the plans, 1,200 square meters will be built on two floors. The building will be designed by the architectural firm Studio Acht and will meet the requirements of UNESCO for World Heritage.
The site was bought some time ago by the new owner. He wants to transform the barren terrain into something new, giving something back to the community.
