WILLEMSTAD - Peter Luiten has been the new general manager of Damen Shiprepair Curaçao since 1 June. Luiten previously worked as a general manager at CostUless. He previously held the position of CEO at Building Depot.
Luiten has a lot of experience as a change manager and knows how to make companies financially healthy again in times of crisis. With the appointment of Luiten, the docking company wants to take the activities in Curaçao to a higher level. Earlier this year, Damen reported that there would be layoffs. The company's financial situation is precarious. A capital injection of 40 million dollars should turn the tide.
