WILLEMSTAD - Utility company Aqualectra will replace outdated electricity cables in Otrobanda on Sunday 3 April. These are cables with a high voltage of 12 kilovolts that have been in use for forty years.
The utility company started modernizing the electricity network in 2019 due to several construction projects in Otrobanda.
In consultation with the police, Molenplein will not be accessible to vehicular traffic from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The intersection of Rialtostraat and Pater Eeuwensweg will be closed. Aqualectra refers motorists to the parking lot at Awasa.
