New publication on environment presented to the governor

WILLEMSTAD - On Tuesday, November 10, the director of the Meteorological Service of Curaçao as well as Permanent Representative of Curaçao to the World Meteorological Organization, Mr. Albert Martis and the Secretary-General of the Curaçao National Commission for UNESCO, Mrs. Marva Browne, published the report “Curaçao Climate Change Policy Assessment” and presented this to the Governor of Curaçao, Her Excellency Lucille George-Wout.

The report describes the results of a study conducted by the Climate Working Group consisting of employees of the Ministry of Traffic, Transport and Urban Planning (VVRP), the Minister of Economic Development (MEO) and the Minister of Health, Nature, and Environment (GMN). The main objective of the study was to map the existing institutional capacity and knowledge with regard to drawing up a climate policy for Curaçao.
