Local | By Correspondent November 4, 2020

THE HAGUE - The Dutch Socialist Party (SP) wants a new treaty for Curaçao, Aruba and Sint Maarten. The party writes that in its election program. On March 17 next year there will be elections for a new Dutch parliament.

The SP writes that the current Kingdom is in danger of being destroyed by political quarrels and mutual distrust. That is why the SP wants a new treaty, stating how the four countries of the Kingdom will work together on an equal basis.

According to the party, Curaçao, Aruba and Sint Maarten must indicate what they themselves want to be responsible for and what they want the Netherlands to do.
