THE HAGUE, WILLEMSTAD - The Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations has announced that no budget cuts will be applied in the vital sectors of Curaçao, Aruba and Sint Maarten. This includes the police, the Public Prosecution Service, the coastguard, and the prison system.
The ministry announced this in a letter to the Kingdom Council of Ministers. The islands must ensure that all vital processes continue, and, in addition, specific requirements have been set per country to receive the third tranche of emergency aid.
