WILLEMSTAD - During the tallship event Velas Latinoamericas, no drones are allowed to fly in the area between Punda and Otrobanda. Until Sunday, St. Anna Bay is home to various flagships. There is an extensive program that is free to the public.
The authorities want to be able to guarantee the safety of visitors and therefore do not want to see drones in the sky between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. Drones can fall from the sky and fall on people. In addition, the Coast Guard gives demonstrations with helicopters. If a drone hits a helicopter, it could cause a serious accident.
