WILLEMSTAD - A woman who became trapped between the doors of an ABC bus did not get what she wanted from the judge. The woman claimed compensation, including in the form of an SUV car worth 20,000 guilders. The judge dismissed her claims.
The woman could not provide sufficient evidence that she had suffered any injuries from the incident. In total, the woman wanted compensation of 110,000 guilders. The woman claims both material and immaterial damage. She no longer dares to travel by public transport. She is also said to suffer from incontinence as a result of the incident.
The bus company had already paid 600 guilders through the insurer. This was as an advance on the costs of a domestic help. It is clear that the driver is at fault.
