WILLEMSTAD - Residents of Curaçao are not leaving the island en masse. This was declared by the Minister of Government Services in charge of the Civil Registry Armin Konket.
In the first seven months of this year, more than 1500 people left the island. The majority, nine out of ten, left for to the Netherlands. These are normal figures according to Konket.
In 2018 almost 1900 people left. A large group, 7 percent left for Bonaire.
