WILLEMSTAD - Much has gone wrong with the payment of the employees of Kas di Kultura (Department of Culture).
Due to cutbacks, some of the staff have agreed to a voluntary resignation. In addition, they would still have to be paid for the month of September, but according to sources, however, only half of the salary has been paid.
Those who have not accepted the offer of voluntary resignation have received no salary at all.
A total of 18 of the 31 employees have agreed to voluntary resignation. Thirteen people are still considering what to do.
According to the workers, who are represented by union PWFC, it is common for a voluntary resignation to have some benefit to the worker. That is not the case with Kas di Kultura.
