No more illegals reaching Curaçao’s shores after military assistance

Local | By Correspondent May 6, 2020

WILLEMSTAD - Since the coastguard guards the borders of Curaçao with military assistance, there have been no more illegals with weapons and drugs reaching Curaçao’s shores.

The Coast Guard announced this recently. Due to the corona crisis, all maritime borders of the islands have been closed. Only freight traffic and local fishermen are allowed to sail in the territorial waters of the islands.

In addition to the Zr.Ms Zeeland, the Zr.Ms. Karel Doorman is sailing under the flag of the Coast Guard.
