WILLEMSTAD - The government has not yet made an official decision on whether or not to allow the Seú (harvest) parade. Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Sithree van Heydoorn announced this.
According to Van Heydoorn, there are several messages on social media that the government would prepare for the Seú parade and that there would already be a date. The minister said that no official decision has been made yet and that the government is still in consultation with various stakeholders, including the police, the fire department, and the crisis team.
“Any step the government takes on whether or not to allow the Seú parade will be a responsible and balanced decision. The government will inform people when final agreements have been made about the possibility of a Seú event," said van Heydoorn.
