WILLEMSTAD - It is no longer necessary to apply for a special permit for a stand during King’s Day. The Council of Ministers has approved the request of Minister Ruisandro Cijntje of Economic Development (MEO) to waive the permit.
Organizers of events and activities do have to go to the permit desk. People who want to sell products at a stand do not need to apply for a temporary permit, as was previously announced.
The city center is divided into six zones. Candidates for the sale of products can contact the organizers of markets and other events of the zone in which they want to be.
Cijntje is very happy that the activities around King's Day will continue. “The festivities are seen as an 'Orange Economy' and contribute to the economy and tourism of Curaçao,” said the minister.
