WILLEMSTAD - As of today, it is no longer possible for customers to pay with cash at the Civil Registrar’s Office, or like it is popularly called Kranshi.
The only permitted payment method is now the debit card. In a press release, the Ministry of Administration, Planning and Services points out that at Kranshi, visitors have been asked to use the debit card as a payment method for 5 years. This is to prevent possible fraud and to prevent officials from being placed in a risky position where they deposit money at the bank.
