WILLEMSTAD - The drug robbery at the police has made it clear that corruption within the Curaçao police is deeper than previously thought. That writes the Dutch news agency NRC.
Two anonymous witnesses have stated that high-ranking officials are allegedly involved in drug crime. They would also have played a role in the theft of 600 kilos of cocaine from the police station. These anonymous witnesses stated, among other things, that the recently arrested police officer was trapped and would have been extorted because of debts by members of the cocaine mafia in Curaçao.
