WILLEMSTAD - The number of corona infections per day is stable, but still worrying. Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas and epidemiologist Izzy Gerstenbluth gave an update on the current situation regarding corona during the Report of the Day.
As long as the figures remain like this, the high pressure on healthcare will continue, according to Gerstenbluth. The epidemiologist and the prime minister once again reflected on the importance of vaccination. "Of the 105 corona patients in the hospital, three were vaccinated," emphasizes the epidemiologist.
Today 48 people have tested positive. A total of 2,027 tests were administered. A test ratio of 2.4 percent. 67 people have been taken out of isolation.
The number of hospital admissions is 36, of which 18 are in intensive care. Two people were allowed to return from the IC to the regular ward. The total number of infections on Curaçao stands at 457.
