WILLEMSTAD - The Teatro KadaKen Foundation and the Birgen di Rosario Foundation announced yesterday that they have joined forces. Their aim is to restore the auditorium in Habaai. The intention is that the hall will be transformed into an inspiring space for showing performances.
In addition to managing the Aula, Teatro KadaKen will also provide a home for young makers to produce theater plays and other artistic work. In the past, the Aula was widely used for theater performances, ballet performances, music performances and plays. After that it was used as a storage place and dump.
There have been several renovations in recent years. Now the two organizations have announced that they want to use the auditorium again to produce "socially relevant and inspiring theater productions for the Curaçao community".
