WILLEMSTAD - The Public Prosecution Service (OM) Curaçao will use a new payment arrangement for paying outstanding fines. The Public Prosecution Service warns departing travelers that the airport is being checked for outstanding fines.
“If you go on holiday abroad, this is your chance to make a payment arrangement with the option to pay in installments,” the Public Prosecution Service said. “You can do that on holiday without stress.” The arrangement means that the first month 25 guilders is paid and the rest of the amount in a maximum of 18 months. This offer is valid from April 25 to June 11, 2022.
At the office of “Paga bo But” an arrangement can be made with an identification document and the first deposit of 25 guilders. The Public Prosecution Service emphasizes that no more arrangements can be made during the check at the airport.
The Public Prosecution Service advises everyone to pay their fine on time to avoid an unnecessary increase in the amount.
