WILLEMSTAD - This year, the Uniarte Foundation is developing a special project, called Stimulá, for Cultural producers, freelancers and interested individuals living in the Caribbean.
Stimulá consists of online workshops with coaching sessions that deal with business aspects of cultural and artistic development and sector. There is no cost to the workshop and Stimulá is open to everyone and freelancers from the Caribbean (Curaçao, Aruba, Bonaire, Saba, Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten and area). In this way, Stimulá also stimulates coming together, inspiring together and networking between people from all islands who are engaged in the development of Cultural and Artistic projects.
The coach of the Stimulá program is Sasha Dees, writer, curator and cultural producer who just published the book 'Entangled Species'. The workshops Sasha will give are about cultural project management, its financing, and writing proposals. Professionals from the Creative Industry are also invited to give guest lectures during these online workshops about films, visual art and literature, to name a few.
This project was realized with the support of: Cultural Participation Fund and the Friends Lottery Fund.
Uniarte is a non-profit organization that organizes projects and meetings, stimulates artistic development and strives for interaction with the public. In addition to sharing Contemporary art, Uniarte activates conversations about art development in the Caribbean.
