Open traffic fines increased after Wednesday

WILLEMSTAD - The Public Prosecution Service (OM) has issued a reminder that a monthly traffic court hearing will take place on Wednesday 13 October. The Public Prosecution Service reports that the amount on the outstanding fines will be increased after the hearing.

The fine can be paid at the office 'Paga Bo Put' on Waaigat, east of Curoil on Abraham Chumaceiro Boulevard. The office is open from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

The Public Prosecution Service has recently also offered the option of paying in installments. The payment arrangement 'Areglo den areglo' means that 25 guilders per month is paid for the first three months. The rest of the outstanding amount can be repaid within 21 months. The arrangement can be made at Paga bo But, an identification document and a deposit of 25 guilders is required.

 

The Public Prosecution Service advises paying fines as soon as possible, in order to avoid an unnecessary increase.
