WILLEMSTAD - Patients can now turn to a special organization focusing on those in need of care. The organization, Stichting Patiëntenrecht Curaçao (SPC), aims to ensure that healthcare better meets people's needs.
SPC also seeks to give patients a voice in the consultation room, with insurers, and in the media. Additionally, the organization aims to assist people in making choices regarding their healthcare.
The foundation's board comprises individuals with medical expertise. Elton Raven serves as medical advisor on the board, and Stephen Ebecillo has been appointed as psychological counselor. Jason Lau A Kien is registered as Head of Intake. Jair Engelhardt, the chairman, is assisted by vice-chair Arthur Nivillac.
