WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao professional baseball player Ozaino 'Ozzie' Albies was welcomed at Hato airport yesterday with great interest. Albies is currently incredibly popular after the victory of his team Atlanta Braves in the American Major League.
The plane landed at the airport about 2:30 p.m. Less than half an hour later, he was received serendipitously by the Pisas cabinet and the public present. Then a parade went through the island to the Chofi field in Koraal Specht, where Albies was received with real fireworks show.
