WILLEMSTAD - The PAL Aerospace aircraft from Canada will continue to fly for the Caribbean Coast Guard for the next 10 years. That reports Luchtvaartnieuws.nl.
For years, two aircraft of the company have been flying missions from Curaçao. It's about two specially modified Bombardier Dash 8s. PAL is the newest aircraft and provides patrols over the sea. This aircraft is used to hunt drug smugglers, among other things.
PAL will also take over flight operations for the Coast Guard from Schiphol this spring. The other two Dash 8 aircraft will soon receive an update in terms of sensors.
