WILLEMSTAD - The PAR faction in parliament wants an update on the implementation of the plan against domestic violence and child abuse, which was adopted three years ago.
Research shows that 4 in 10 women and 3 in 10 men have experienced domestic violence in Curaçao. This has also proved to be a major problem during the pandemic and that it will remain a problem after the lockdown.
The PAR therefore wants to put the plan and its implementation on the agenda and request a parliamentary meeting for this. The Minister of Social Development, Labor and Welfare (SOAW) is also invited to provide the latest information on this.
