WILLEMSTAD - Opposition party PAR wants clarification from the government about the conversation that took place last week with Ennia and Parman International owner Hushang Ansary. The party has sent a letter about this to the president of parliament.
Ansary recently came out in connection with the sale of Banco di Caribe (BdC) by the Central Bank a few weeks ago. According to the billionaire, the sale of BdC that until then fell under Ennia was not allowed.
At that time, Ennia was under the supervision of the Central Bank of Curaçao and St. Maarten. It is said that the conversation with Ansary last Monday would have taken place behind closed doors at the request of the government.
Despite reports and questions in various media, the government has so far not responded substantively to the conversation with Ansary.
