WILLEMSTAD - The entrance to the Tula monument at Rif has a new work of art. Officially the area is called Parke Lucha pa Libertad or Fight for Freedom Park.
The artwork forms an entrance gate made by Giovanni Abath. Previously, access was blocked by large boulders.
The new gate tells the story of Tula's struggle against slavery. The artwork is made with stainless steel to withstand the salt of the sea.
